According to the Centers of Disease Control and the World Health organization, Iodine deficiency is the number
one cause of preventable Brain, Thyroid, Stomach (Acid Reflux) and Skeletal (Skeletal Fluorosis, Osteoporosis)
Damage effecting millions of children and adults Worldwide. Fluoride in our Water, Air, Food, Toothpaste, Teflon
cookware, Drugs, etc., blocks the absorption of or replaces Iodine in the receptor sites in the Thyroid Gland,
causing Hypothyroidism in over 120 Million women who are now on Thyroid medication. Iodine is used by the
stomach cells (parietal cells), to concentrate chloride which is necessary to produce Hydrochloric Acid. A lack of
Iodine can cause of Low Stomach Acid (Acid Reflux), causing 150 Million people to take Acid Reflux Medication or
antacids and costing Taxpayers some $30 Billion Dollars a year plus another $100 Billion in additional sick Care
cost since Acid Reflux medication blocks the absorption of vital nutrients. Research have found that iodine
reverses Fibrocystic disease, Diabetic patients require less insulin, Hypothyroid patients require less Thyroid
medication, symptoms of Fibromyalgia resolved and patients with Migraine Headaches stop having them. Iodine
Deficiency Found in Heart and Cardiovascular Disease. The Heart needs adequate stores of iodine to beat
smoothly. Many cases of cardiac arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation were resolved with the use of Iodine and a
balanced Nutritional Protocol. See IODINE to order your IODINE test kit.
Iodine Deficiency is caused by Fluoride in our Water, Air, Food, Toothpaste, Teflon cookware, Drugs, etc.
The problem of iodine deficiency is especially serious for pregnant women and young children. During pregnancy,
even a mild deficiency of iodine can reduce brain development of the fetus limiting the intellectual ability of an
individual for life.
- Iodine deficiency can cause severe mental and physical retardation, known as cretinism.
- Iodine deficiency in chronic form, can cause goiter (a disorder characterized by swelling of the thyroid gland)
in both adults and children.
- Iodine deficiency most commonly, impedes fetal brain development. At the population level, the
consequence of iodine deficiency is a 10–15% lower average intellectual quotient (IQ), which affects the
social and economic development of both communities and nations.
The World Bank has estimated that, combined with vitamin A deficiency and iron deficiency, iodine deficiency may
lower the economic wealth of a nation by as much as 5% every year.
Iodine loading test is an in depth test to evaluate whole body sufficiency for Iodine. After ingesting a 50mg
Iodoral® tablet, urine is collected for 24 hours. With this test, Iodine sufficiency is determined by comparing the
amount of Iodine taken to the amount excreted in the urine. Whole body Iodine sufficiency is reached when 90% or
more of the ingested amount is excreted in the urine. **Before participating in this evaluation, discuss any history
of thyroid surgery and/or radiation, Hashimoto disease, or any previous thyroid problems with your health care
If you are allergic to Iodine see Urine Spot test below.
To add Bromide, see below.
Normally, Iodine is the first mineral to be absorbed by the body and is used for Protection from invaders,
Metabolism, Digestion and many other functions. Unfortunately, Fluoride is a Halogen like Iodine, Bromide and
Chlorine and can block the absorption of Iodine in the Thyroid Gland and cause Hypothyroidism, Heart Disease,
Cancer and many other diseases.
Most Breast Cancer patients, especially women, are Iodine Deficient and should get a Urine Iodine Loading test to
monitor the levels of Iodine. More information below.
The Urine Collection Kit will be sent from the Laboratory with a return shipping box.
The kit comes with a vile to collect your urine, a 50mg Iodine tablet, box to return the sample to the laboratory and
Adding the Bromide test is an extra $40.00 More information below.

Bromide in food can also replace Iodine. If your Bromide is high you should eliminate all foods with Bromide.
Adding Fluoride to the above test is an extra $40.00
The 24 hour Urinary Iodine Loading with Bromide and Fluoride Test Kit is $158.00 Buy now
Caution: If you are allergic to Iodine, do not take Oral Iodine or order the Loading test. You can instead, order the
Urine Iodine Spot test Kit. A Spot test is a snapshot of current levels of Iodine in the body and is useful in
evaluating pre-supplementation status. A level below 0.15 mg/L is defined as an Iodine deficient state according to
the World Health Organization. Order your kit now. $78.00
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your pH must be between 6.4 and 6.8 for Iodine be absorbed by the body. See Lab Test for
information on pH testing.
Most Americans are deficient in Iodine, especially women. Test yourself today.
Iodine is vital for good thyroid function, which in turn is essential for health. Iodine deficiency during pregnancy and early infancy can result in
cretinism (irreversible mental retardation and severe motor impairments). In adults low iodine intake (or very high intakes) can cause
Iodine deficiency and symptoms of hypothyroidism generally become more obvious as the condition worsens.
Common symptoms include:
- Hypothyroidism or symptoms of Low Thyroid
- Heart Disease
- Fibrocystic Breast & Ovarian Disease
- Weak immune system
- Weight gain, more than 10 pounds
- Cold intolerance
- Excessive sleepiness
- Dry, coarse, thinning or losing hair
- Hypertension or Hypotension
- Dry skin
- Muscle cramps, achy
- High LDL Cholesterol
- Decreased concentration
- Vague aches and pains
- Swelling of the legs
- Poor Digestion, Acid Reflux
- Low Body Temperature, under 98 degrees
- Low Heart Rate
A simple in-home test to assess Iodine Deficiency. This is NOT a diagnostic test, but will give you an idea about Iodine Absorption.
IODINE PATCH TEST INSTRUCTIONS
1. Begin this test in the morning (after showering). Use 2.2% Iodine (see below) and put one or two drops of Iodine and use your finger to paint
a “2 X 2” square on the inner arm. 2% Tincture of Iodine is now available at super Walmart stores.
2. Write down your starting time.
3. Observe the coloration of the patch over the next 24 hours.
4. Record the time when the iodine disappears. It should last for 24 hours. The sooner it disappears, the more Iodine the body needs.
The Iodine Loading Test is a more accurate way to access Iodine Deficiency and find out if Bromide is occupying the Iodine receptor sites,
which may be causing the Iodine deficiency.
The Iodine Loading Test will determine if you have an Iodine Deficiency
Iodine deficiency is wide-spread. The National Health and Nutrition Survey undertaken by the CDC showed iodine levels falling over 50% in the
last 30 years. It is suggested that all people with Cancer or other chronic illness, have Thyroid or Digestion problems, Osteoporosis, plan to
get pregnant, etc, need to be assessed for iodine status.
An Iodine Loading Test is an accepted way to access iodine status of the body. If there is severe iodine deficiency, the body would be expected
to hold on to more of the ingested iodine. When there is iodine sufficiency present, 90% of the ingested iodine (50mg) will be excreted.
The test involves ingesting a 50mg Iodine tablet, preferably on a Sunday morning, collecting your urine for 24
hours and mailing the sample to the Lab on Monday morning.
Bromide should also be tested.
Bromide can occupy the Iodine receptors and prevent Iodine from being absorbed. Elevated bromide levels have been implicated in every
thyroid disease, from simple hypothyroidism to auto-immune diseases to thyroid cancer. Malenchenko found bromide levels 50 times higher in
thyroid cancer than normal thyroid tissue.
Excess intake of Bromide can occupy Iodine receptor sites and cause many health conditions.
The psychiatry literature abounds with cases of elevated bromide levels being implicated in mental conditions from depression to
Potassium bromate, a bread additive, is known to cause renal damage and permanent deafness in animals and man.
The ability of bromate to cause cancer, especially kidney cancer, is a significant health concern.
Potassium bromate as an additive to most commercial bread and baked goods probably provides the most egregious contribution to bromide
overload in Western cultures.
TOOTHPASTE, MOUTHWASH AND GARGLES
Potassium bromate is an antiseptic and astringent in toothpaste, mouth and gargles. Very toxic if taken internally. May cause bleeding and
inflammation of gums in toothpaste.
PERSONAL PRODUCTS AND SOME COSMETICS
Sodium bromate in Products: Permanent Waves, Hair Dyes, Textile Dyes Sodium bromate is in permanent wave neutralizers, hair dye material,
and the textile dyeing process. Benzalkonium is used as a preservative in some cosmetics. Bromine is found in:
--Beverages (citrus flavored, sodas, and juices in particular) that contain brominated vegetable oil (Mountain Dew, Code Red Mountain Dew, Dr.
Pepper, Hi-C, SunDrop, Fanta, Minute Maid Lemonade, Citrus Gatorade to name but a few)
--Swimming pools, whirlpools, hot tubs, etc. The typical disinfectant for pools contains both chlorine AND bromine...and both of these DO seep
into the skin and push out the Iodine (as well as causing disease on their own) :(
--Non-organic produce (ESPECIALLY STRAWBERRIES!!). Did you know? They spray the strawberry/produce fields with brominated pesticides in
California wearing hazmat suits. MANY migrant workers have been disabled/died because they're not warned or adequately protected.
Iodine Rich Foods
Most Americans have an Iodine deficiency because we don't eat enough foods rich in Iodine. Some of the foods rich in Iodine are Dulce, Kelp,
Eggs, Fish oils, Fresh fish, Haddock, Hijike, Cod, Iodized salt, Sea foods, Sea kelp, Sea salt, Seaweed, Cheddar cheese, Cheese cake,
Condensed milk, Malt bread, Mayonnaise, Naan Bread, etc.
